A Dancer's Christmas
A Dancer's Christmas was a "Boston Holiday Tradition" for 28 Years. With a company of professional and local dancers it "captured the essence of the holiday spirit in a happy, celebratory production" (Boston Globe) It was described as "colorfully festive, emotionally moving and spiritually nourishing in its reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. (Boston Herald)
This year marks the New York premiere of A Dancer's Christmas with the Chevalier Ballet Company under the direction of Sara Knight. In addition to her company there are guest artists from Kingston, Jamaica, and NY dance companies. There is also a cast of children who perform. The 2018 version of A Dancer's Christmas begins with the biblical Christmas Story danced to traditional carols and then sequel into a "contemporary" celebration of Christmas experienced through the art of dance. The performance runs approximately one hour.
