"A Christmas Carol" by Jonathan Kruk
Master storyteller Jonathan Kruk, selected Best in the Hudson Valley, returns to Tompkins Corners Cultural Center to perform his solo rendition of Charles Dickens' classic, "A Christmas Carol".
Kruk gives life to over thirty characters in A Christmas Carol. Add the musical ambiance provided by Jim Keyes on the organ, with bells, harp, violin, and chains, and you've got a unique dramatic version of old Scrooge's story.
Running about an hour, Kruk abridges Dickens' 27,000 word opus to a family friendly show. Performing in colorful 1840s garb, Kruk's sonorous, ever-changing voice, along with Keyes score, is enchanting holiday entertainment.
