The Cemetery Club - presented by Art Center Theater
The Cemetery Club by Ivan Menchell, this summer's dramatic offering from Art Center Theater group, is a sweet story of three longtime friends who are all widows. They form a "cemetery club" in which they meet once a month to have tea and visit their dead husbands' graves. The three women, although close to each other, have very differing views of life, love and how one endures loss.
The Cemetery Club touches subjects both humorous and heartrending. The fast-paced, witty dialogue and zany action have made it a favorite of audiences for over two decades. Some reviewers have even called it "a Jewish Steel Magnolias."
Mark your calendars and don't miss this sure-to-be crowd pleasing show. Performances are July 26, 27 and August 2, 3 at 7:00 p.m. and July 28 and August 4 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are $15 adults and $10 youth (17 and under); $5 additional if purchased the day of the performance. To purchase tickets in person, visit the Gualala Arts Center or Dolphin Gallery in Gualala.
