HSQ Concert to benefit Music Haven
The Haven String Quartet is the resident ensemble at Music Haven, a non-profit organization providing 100% free lessons, instruments, and mentoring for New Haven students from low-income neighborhoods. Each member of the HSQ teaches and mentors students every day after school in our space in the Fair Haven neighborhood, where kids from around the city have the opportunity to play in ensembles, study music theory and music history, get homework help and healthy snacks, and have a safe place to practice and be with friends.
