"Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead" by Tom Stoppard
Bare Theatre's critically-acclaimed Rogue Company (a summer youth conservatory for students ranging from middle-school through college) takes on the modern masterpiece, "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead."
This dark comedy, which made Stoppard famous, takes a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of two minor characters who appear in William Shakespeares masterpiece, Hamlet. The two unwitting protagonists stumble through a world that has already been written, intersecting with bits of Shakespeares play, and they attempt to question a destiny that is ultimately final.
The two worlds in this production will be co-directed by Bare Theatres founders, Artistic Director Carmen-maria Mandley (the world of The Players) and Managing Director Heather J. Hackford (the world of Hamlet).
