Event
Extropia
In a world where art and music do not exist, a factory worker discovers rhythm in the sounds of the world around him, but is outcast as "imperfect and inconsistent" when he steps outside of routine to try and express these new sounds and the feelings of joy they bring him.
All scenes are performed without props, with all actions mimed and accompanied by live foley off stage by composers Michael McQuilken and Brant Campbell. Combined with a minimalistic set of abstract images by fine artist Rebecca Jack, clever, simple costumes and live music on found objects, the result is a feast of unique theatrics for the eyes and ears, while telling a story that hits home and inspires in many ways.
