Digital Fabrication Workshop
This is a Digital Fabrication workshop to cover the operation of the BFB3000 and Makerbot 3D printers, along with the laser cutter and Minolta 3D scanner. This workshop will primarily focus on the mechanics of operating the equipment from the starting point of a pre-existing input file (STL in the case of the 3D printer, DXF or Corel Draw CDW file for the laser cutter), rather than cover how to use software to create 2D and 3D files from scratch (which could be it's own series of workshops). The purpose of the workshop is to quickly bring users up to speed with the operating characteristics of the equipment and best practices to maximize the likelihood of a good build.
