Inherit the Wind
Under the Constitution of these United States, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Neither our states nor our federal government can prohibit or restrict our liberty to think or believe what we will. But, it's up to us to decide what we choose to believe: do we blindly hold onto tradition, or do we explore the possibilities of discovery?
Still, this is not a story about traditionalists against free thinkers. It's not about religion against science. It's not about Darwin against God.
It's about freedom and wondering, about questioning and seeking the truth. It's about tolerance and compassion. It's about the constantly searching and testing impulse of the human mind.
