Sonoma County Matsuri Festival Presents Brush with Japan 2013 - Ikebana Workshop with Liz Uribe and Patricia Fritz
You will have the opportunity to create a "less is more" flower arrangement using basic Ikebana principles and utilizing natural materials found in Sonoma County.
About the Instructors: Liz Uribe is a graduate from George Washington University with a degree in Art History. She studied traditional Japanese arts for six years in Japan. She received her Ikebana teaching certificate from the Mishoryu School of Ikebana in Osaka, Japan, and has taught Ikebana workshops in the United States and Mexico.
After receiving a BFA at California College of Arts & Crafts (now CCA), Patricia Fritz studied Ryusei-ha ikebana with Reiko Granade Sensei from 1980-2000, during which period her arrangements were exhibited annually at the famed Portland Japanese Garden. Patricia is certified as a teacher (Kyoju) in the Ryusei-ha School of Irkebana.
