'Sweet' Summer Solstice Potluck Dinner Party
Join Slow Food Chicago and the Chicago Honey Coop members and friends for our second potluck supper at Chicago Honey Coop. Tours will be given of this inner-city bee-hive farm located on the site of the original Sears headquarters in Chicago. There will be Salmon from Plitts Seafood. Beer and Soft drinks from Goose Island Brewery. Bring a chair and a potluck dish to share.
Chicago Honey Coop is an urban apiary dedicated to sustainable agricultural practices. This West Side bee farm houses about 100 chemical-free hives that produce organic products: jars of honey, candles, moisturizing bars, lip balm, and a honey-sugar body scrub.
