Cabaret Vérité VIII: TRUTH BE TOLD
TRUTH BE TOLD is the 8th show in our Cabaret Vérité series. Join us and our all-star cast of Philadelphia's favorites: Chris Bartlett, Andrew Boyask, Cookie DiOrio, Amber Hikes, John Jarboe, Messapotamia Lefae, Meg Rider, Mr Maryruth Stine and Tom Wilson Weinberg.

There are songs, comedy, resistance and surprises, even to us. The audience is invited to an after-party in the William Way lobby. Performers are donating their time and talent. All of the income supports the William Way LGBT Community Center.

Chris Bartlett is Executive Director of the William Way Center, a dynamic leader and lifelong devotee of Ethel Merman. Andrew Boyask, a musical marvel with a soaring voice, has appeared in almost as many Weinberg shows as Weinberg. His pre-married name was Andrew Crowley. Cookie DiOrio is a drag performer, classically trained vocalist, songwriter, activist, music teacher and lover of all things sparkly. Amber Hikes is Executive Director of the Office of LGBT Affairs for the City of Philadelphia. Though she appears on multiple stages every day, this is her cabaret debut. John Jarboe is sought after by every theater, cabaret, black box and warehouse in town. A writer, songster, actor, impresario and Bearded Lady, John is a performance legend. Messapotamia Lefae is a post-gender surrealist, sartorialist and dance artist. She has collaborated with Weinberg on several shows, including the musical-in-progress Queer Fiddler. Meg Rider is a Co-Chair of the William Way Center and a key mover and shaker in Philadelphia's LGBT community. She will move, shake and sing in TRUTH BE TOLD. Mr Maryruth Stine is a singer, actor, playwright and teacher. They and Tom take turns being in each other's shows. Tom Wilson Weinberg is a songwriter and singer.
