The first Sunday in February will be devoted to the 35th Silver Chord Bowl, the oldest and most respected collegiate A cappella showcase in the region, hosted in John M. Greene Hall on the Smith College campus, part of the Four Sundays in February winter arts series presented by the Northampton Arts Council.
This years event will kickoff with a performance by Northampton High Schools very own Northamptones, followed by performances by 6 groups from colleges and universities around the Northeast. This year we will see the On the Vox from Berklee College of Music, Dartmouth Aires, Tufts sQ!, Amherst College Zumbyes, MIT Ohms, and Smith College Smiffenpoofs. The Silver Chord Bowl will be hosted by Smith College Dean of the College, Susan Etheredge and Northampton Mayor David Narkewicz. Performances subject to change.

Parking?
Parking is difficult around John M Greene Hall, please refer to the map below. Please be sure to give yourself enough time. PARKING: On Sunday, there is free on-street parking. All of Northampton's municipal lots are free EXCEPT for the downtown parking garage. Smith College parking lots and the Smith College garage on West Street are complementary and open to the general public. There are also lots at Forbes Library, the Northampton Senior Center, and the World War II Club.
Accessibility?
There is accessible parking and an accessible entrance with a ramp on the right side of John M Green Hall at Smith College. Please refer to the above map for details.
We encourage wheelchair accessible guests and one companion to purchase general admission tickets. Please refer to the seating map below for Wheelchair Accessible seating for patrons. The Wheelchair accessible places have no seat, they are a space for a wheelchair. However, there is a seat for one Wheelchair companion of the guest to accompany a guest with a wheelchair.
