2018 OpenMRS Implementers' Conference
This is the 12th OpenMRS Implementers conference, the 6th in Africa and the 2nd to be held in Kenya. The conference will be held at "Hall of Africa" at the Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi, Kenya.
The meeting aims to bring health care professionals and OpenMRS implementers together to collaborate, share implementation experiences and discover new ways to improve OpenMRS.
The 2018 Conference Program is expected to be thought provoking and dynamic with conventional conference, unconferencing session styles and site visits. Keynote speeches reflecting a more practical approach to implementing electronic medical records systems will be made by key local and global health informatics contributors.
Objectives
This conference seeks to look into:-
The role of OpenMRS in advancing financial inclusion at the point of service
Using OpenMRS to strengthen primary health care, maternal and child health, prevention water borne, vector borne, NCDs (particularly diabetes and hypertension), and communicable diseases (STIs, HIV, TB) diseases within a continuity of care model linked to Continuous Quality Improvement.
OpenMRS leading the way in enhancing the efficacy, effectiveness and Return on Investment of digital health by operationalizing the Principles For Digital Development.
