SITI Thought Center - NYC Edition
Anne Bogart (Co-Artistic Director of SITI Company) and Lear deBessonet (Founder of Public Works at the Public Theater and Resident Director) have a conversation about telling stories that are expansive enough to be accessible to all. How do we as theater artists consider the relationship an audience has to an event as a social and civic responsibility? What does an accessible piece of theater look like, both in how it is made and what it is made of?
Grab a glass of wine and settle into an intimate evening, beginning with a conversation between Anne and Lear, followed by audience discussion and questions. Hear these two visionary directors, hailing from different backgrounds and rooted in different aesthetics, discuss how their work serves the people who see it.
