It's Lit Up Writers LA

First Sunday of every month at the Lyric Hyperion Theater and Cafe, featuring published and unpublished writers and performers reading from their works.

April theme: Wild Women Memoirs.

That's right, wild women and memoirs. Come enjoy an evening of stories written by women from all walks of life and dedicated to the hard working women of Alexandria House. This months invited readers are a variety of accomplished women in the literary and performing arts.

Mercedes Segesvary: Your host for the evening and a published playwright. Her play, Alive and Well will be opening April 15 at the Metropolitan Playhouse in New York. www.hugithegreat.com

Amy Heidish: Published playwright and author of,  SAY GOODBYE TOTO, the Wizard Of Oz told from Toto's point of view, her play has received several productions across the nation.

Katie Rubin: Regional theater actress, stand up comic and director with 4 nationally touring solo shows.  Her show, "Everything All at Once!" will be playing at The Lounge Theater in Hollywood opening April 17th.  www.katierubin.com

Carolyn Martone: Founder of Lit Up LA and creator of the the sitcom "Upstate," you've seen her as a reappearing reader at Mortified.

And featuring

Sonja Warfield:  TV and Film writer who has written for Will & Grace, pilots for HBO, ABC and NBC and wrote a movie for Hillary Swank's production company among other things will be reading from her new book, "Big, Fat, Negro Get Your Lazy Ass Off Of My Couch."
