Saturday, Stories, and Songs Presents: An Evening with Chuck Cannon
CHUCK CANNON

Chuck grew up in the South Carolina Lowcountry, a Southern boy whose voice echoes the R&B, Rock & Roll, Gospel, and Country music he grew up listening to. He is a multi-award-winning songwriter whose genre defying songs have been covered by an incredibly diverse array of mega-stars ranging from Pop artists Paul Carrack (Mike & The Mechanics, Squeeze and Ace) to Folk Rocks Shawn Mullins, Rodney Crowell and Antje Duvekot, to Country artists George Jones, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Wynonna Judd, George Strait and Toby Keith, to Euro-Pop super-group BoyZone and 80s rock superstar band NightRanger, and Gospels Russ Taff and Bebe Winans.
Chucks chart-topping songs have logged over 25 million terrestrial radio airplays, over 700 million streams, and he has been the recipient of numerous coveted BMI Million-Air awards. His song, I Love The Way You Love Me, won The Academy of Country Music Song of the Year.
His critically acclaimed solo music projects, GOD SHAPED HOLE, LOVE AND MONEY, and SYMPHONY OF SCARS sing with haunting productions and wide-open spaces surrounding songs that tell the tales of the weary and broken who live through the messes, lose their faith in the bad religion and still believe in the magic. His spoken-word project, TRUE STORIES AND OTHER LIES: VOLUME ONE, is a collection of soul-deep stories that rides the listener
down a twisted journey of laughter and tears through the life of an artist of The American South.
His latest solo project, MACHINE, is a wild song-ride down back-roads where houses still have tin roofs, screen doors and front porches; where rivers run with memories of places we cant go again - then along sad city streets where dreams are swallowed whole by cold clanging contraptions of our own making. His wry socio-political commentary takes no sides, save that of the common folk who work hard, laugh loud and know only one thing for sure; we are lost without
love. Chuck is, first and last, a Songwriter; and no one interprets a song like the writer of the song. His unique guitar style and engaging stories make for riveting live performances that will leave you wanting more . . .
