What did Abigail Adams have to say to the Founding Fathers? What would Woody Guthrie say to corporate polluters today? What might women ask Madison Avenue image makers? How about: WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?! Aurora Chorus mixes things up, singing 60's folk anthems, 21st century political rap, 20th century singer/songwriters, and the music of noted American choral composers Carol Barnett, Joan Szymko, and Gwyneth Walker.
Entertaining, irreverent, and poignant perspectives on love, empowerment, and the desire to both save and savor the world.
Since 1992, Aurora Chorus has honored the strength and beauty of women's lives through the fine art of choral singing. Aurora was founded on the belief that music can be a powerful instrument of peace--locally, globally, and in the hearts of all who sing and all who listen.
Directed by renowned choral composer Joan Szymko, Aurora Chorus is comprised of 100 singers from the Portland/Vancouver metro area.
All tickets are for open (non-reserved) seats. Premium tickets give you access to the best seating areas in the house.
