Spend a day of meditative drawing focused on how plants prepare for the changing seasons. Artist Paetra Tauchert will lead us in looking closely at pods, seeds and twigs. Take home your own beautiful representation of the botanical world's solutions for preserving and creating new life.
Sunday, December 2 from 10am to 3pm, at Botanical Dimensions Ethnobotany Library ~ Occidental, California
Instructor: Paetra Tauchert is a lifelong artist of many mediums. She creates her botanical illustrations in colored pencil, pastel, watercolor and/or gouache. She is a Master Gardener with a big garden in west Sonoma County, from which she draws much of her inspiration. She is also a consulting astrologer (paetratauchertastrology.com) and writes a lavishly illustrated, bi-monthly newsletter based around the new and full moons, 'heirloom magic' and nature. She hosts a podcast too, with a link on her website.
