Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents the concert "Giants."
The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra (BSO) opens its 80th season, "Music Will Be Our Reply," with the concert "Giants." Featuring guest violist Brett Deubner and guest composer Max Wolpert, on Saturday evening, October 6, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Bemidji High School Auditorium. Dr. Beverly Everett conducts.
World-renowned violist Brett Deubner performs Max Wolpert's Viola Concerto No. 1 "Giants". Also, enjoy "Cavaleria Rusticana" by Mascagni, "Symphony No. 4" by David Diamond, and Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man". Composer Max Wolpert joins the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra for this performance.
Doors open for seating at 6:30 pm.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota, through a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
