KW BIG BAND THEORY
KW BIG BAND THEORY is well-known for its big band classics from the swing era (Benny Goodman and Count Basie)to punchy horn bands from the 70's and 80's as well as contemporary big band arrangements by Gordon Goodwin and the Big Phat Band. "This fantastic big band packs an irresistible wallop of musical entertainment - spirited, talented and fun!"says Grand River Jazz Society's Stephen Preece. A highlight in their history has been performing on three occasions with legendary Canadian Jazz musician, Don Thompson on vibraphone. With the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Arts Fund, the Registry Theatre presented one of those performances which was was recorded for Big Band Theory's debut CD "Evidence". This concert will also feature Derek Hines and Nathan Martin on vocals - an astounding afternoon of great music!
