The Colorful Women of Walt Disney's Animation
Mindy Johnson, historian and author of the groundbreaking book Ink and Paint: The Women of Walt Disneys Animation, will discuss the pioneering women behind the creative and technical advances in animated films at Walt Disney Studios, including the groundbreaking artist Mary Blair, who is featured in Something Revealed. In addition to their work at Disney, many of these women were also talented artists in other mediums and left important artistic legacies that will be explored. Original clips and artwork from the Disney archives, along with images and works of fine art that were discovered through recent research will be featured. Ms. Johnson's book will be available for purchase.
