May 19, 2019 Philharmonic Orchestra Concert
This spring concert features guest artist, pianist May Phang, performing Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky's "Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor, Opus 23." American composer Jennifer Higdon's "All Things Majestic," an orchestral suite inspired by Grand Teton National Park, and "Spring Festival Overture" by Chinese composer Li Huanzhi, are also featured. A new composition written by the 2018 student winner of the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) will be premiered as part of the Philharmonic's "Phringe" Festival.
