February 17, 2019 Philharmonic Orchestra & Symphonic Praise Choir
Celebrating its 21st season with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Symphonic Praise Choir will perform "Procession of the Levites/Anthem of Praise" by award-winning Gospel composers Richard Smallwood and Darwin Atwater. Contemporary and classic Gospel and Praise music will also be featured. The Philharmonic Orchestra will perform "Harlem Symphony" by James Price Johnson, one of the leading early 20th Century American composers. Guest conductors are John Ray and Geoffrey L. Kelsaw of Indianapolis.
