Contact Improvisation | Jam on the Hill | Easter 2019
National Jam incorporating 20 hours of Contact Improvisation Jamming over 3 days @ Studio 31 by invitation of The Playgoers Society of Dartington Hall
Organised and hosted by Caroline Waters & Richard Parker
Dartington Hall carries a unique history of CI going back to the 70's. Join us in tracing these dances into the present and seeing where they may lead us for the future.
The invitation is to bring our experiences and inquires together and explore through a combination of dance, discussion and community what makes a jam feel most alive? what are the creative possibilities? what are supportive boundaries? how do we best hold the space? what else is possible?
A mixture of jams with Live Music, Scores, Witnessing and Silence. Weather permitting we have outside spaces within the beautiful grounds and access to the river Dart for any wild swimmers.
Suitable for CI practitioners, teachers and space holders. There are no facilitated workshops for beginners, CI experience is required.
Caroline & Richard are both very passionate about holding space for an authentic CI practice and warmly welcome you to join them in exploring the full potential of a contact improvisation jam.
