Julia Gail + Bear in the Forest + Pherow IX
MPLS born songstress (and former crescendo employee) Julia Gail comes from a musical upbringing. With two musicians for parents, her style draws from her dads bluesy, folky roots and her moms classical training and love for jazz. Combine that with her own love of R&B and you get Julias own voice and writing style. Julia is joined tonight by her multi-instrumentalist brother a Jon Porter (MPLS) and Christian Porter (MKE) to bring some smooth, laid back, alternative R&B vibes to Crescendo.

Bear In The Forest is a singer-songwriter from Milwaukee,WI and a student at UW-Madison. As a lover of the natural world and of folk music; he uses his acoustic guitar and voice to capture and challenge people. He has been featured on publications such as AfroPunk and MishkaNYC. His debut project is a 6 song debut EP titled Fickle Young Mind that dropped August 2017 to Apple Music, Spotify, and SoundCloud. Recently Bear has not only been discovering what he what he wants to do with his music but also collaborating with other local aspiring musicians, birthing, Introspection, and Skybound, his latest singles; both were produced by Bright Violet and are available on SoundCloud and Spotify. Bear recently recorded his debut album in Rochester, NY. It will be self-titled and is set to drop in the next year.
