An enlightened monarch, Frederic II was an amateur of music, the arts, and philosophy. He became the protector of numerous composers such as Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Boccherini, all represented on this program though sonatas, variations, arias and quartet. With Margaret Humphrey and Brandon Christensen, violin, Maryse Carlin, fortepiano, Ken Kulosa, cello, Amy Greenhalgh, viola.
