Books and Bubbles Reception with India Hicks
Please join us for a book signing and pop-up shop with designer India Hicks! Champagne, sparkling water, and appetizers will be served. A portion of proceeds will benefit Independence Landing, a non-profit dedicated to building an independent living center for adults with disabilities in Tallahassee.
India Hicks is an author, model, entrepreneur, and the daughter of famed designer David Hicks. Her newest book, India Hicks: A Slice of England, is the first look at the designer's house in the English countryside, as well as the houses of her childhood. India Hicks: A Slice of England is the designer's exploration of her British heritage and how she has expressed it in her newly finished English country house in Oxfordshire. She covers life upstairs and downstairs, on the grounds and in the surrounding country, including local pubs, circuses, and markets. Enriched with the witty and tender stories of Hicks's life growing up as British and design royalty, this is a book about the power of houses with family history, and the joy of adapting them for modern life.
Ticket price includes one book. A portion of proceeds will benefit Independence Landing, a nonprofit whose mission is to build an affordable and safe residential community for adults with a range of cognitive and physical abilities, allowing residents to successfully lead independent and fulfilled lives.
