OSHA/Infection Control and the Massachusetts Board
THE DATE: Tuesday, October 2, 2018
THE TIME: Registration 5:15,Dinner 5:30 pm, Lecture 6:45-8:45 pm
THE PLACE: The Log Cabin, Holyoke, MA
THE TOPIC: Attendees will learn and understand OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines pertaining to the dental office. Specific Massachusetts regulations for the dental office will be addressed. The overall emphasis of the presentation will be towards implementing the necessary requirements and documentation with a focus on risk prevention in the dental office. Attendees will also be trained in the development and implementation of the appropriate manuals for their practice.
THE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, attendees will understand:
1.) Standards for Bloodborne Pathogens
2.) Standards for Hazard Communication and GHS
3.) State Specific Guidelines for Infection Control
4.) Federal infection control guidelines
5.) State of Massachusetts requirements
6.) Implementation of the compliance program
7.) Consequences of non-compliance
8.) Massachusetts Board of Dentistry Guidelines
THE SPEAKER: Dr. Howard Pactovis has been a respected figure in the dental field for over thirty-five years and is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. For the last twenty years, Dr. Pactovis has focused exclusively on the safety and risk prevention area relative to dentistry. Dr. Pactovis is the founder of Dynamic Dental Safety, the Director of Education for the Dental Learning Network, and has presented educational courses in more than twenty states. He has been a featured speaker at the Yankee Dental Congress, as well as at other state and local dental meetings on the subject of dental office safety and infection control.

Due to space restrictions of the venue, the VDDS must limit the number of attendees to 300, so please register early, as this event has sold out in the past!
Regular registration runs through September 17th at the following rates:

Late registration runs from September 18th through September 25th at the following rates:
Doctor - $60 Auxiliary - $45 Student - $35
NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 25th. There is no registration at the door.
