Avli Restaurant in association with The Book Stall After Dark Comedy Seriese invites you to this special event of a night filled with food, drink & laughter in your own backyard!
Showtime: 7:30. $25.00 gets you a reserved seat for a professional stand-up comedy show.

Comics December 4th...
Jimmy McHugh (Co-Headliner): Jimmy has been dishing out his style of comedy for over 25 years. Born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago, Jimmy blends a mixture of classic observational humor emphasized with his unique vocal and facial expressions. Jimmy has been seen on Comedy Central, HBO, MTV, ESPN2 and the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Mike Preston (Co-Headliner): As a Comic, Author & Talk Show Host, Mike gives his slightly damaged take on things, Mike has worked comedy clubs and sordid one nighters from coast to coast, and made several TV appearances, including SHOWTIME'S COMEDY CLUB, and NBC'S FRIDAY NIGHT. For his first two novels, THE MORON CHRONICLES and RETURN OF THE MORON, Preston drew on his years in Social Work to produce a "politically incorrect, yet essentially accurate" portrayal of alcoholism, mental illness, and life on the street.
Sarah Manning: (Feature Act) Chicago comic Sarah Manning has a very goofy and quirky style of stand-up, often breaking into characters and songs. She performs throughout Chicago and also tours nationally. Her hobbies include playing guitar, painting, drawing and running- especially when rent is due.
Peter Lipsey (Host & Emcee): Touted as the 87th funniest comedian in the country and belting out jokes for the last 29 years, Peters premise, set-up and punch one-liner delivery leaves his intelligent, literate and sharp audiences laughing well after the show is over. Peter earned a BA in Radio/TV in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. He lives in Wilmette with his wife and three kids. www.peterlipsey.com
Richard Laible (Producer): An alumnus of Chicago's The Second City, iO and a founding member of The Annoyance Theater. He has written and performed in hundreds of corporate events for numerous Fortune 500 companies including Discover Card, HP, Sony, Cisco, Motorola, McDonalds, Kraft, IBM, SAP and many, many more. Richard is a Co-Producer of The Bookstall After Dark comedy series. Richard and his family reside in Winnetka, Illinois. Richard also likes Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain, making love at midnight in the dunes on the Cape. www.RichardLaible.com.
