Our 44th season, Travelogue: Musical Postcards from Around the World explores the musical legacy and rich heritage of these nations, as Artistic Director, John Sutton and the incredible voices of the Angeles Chorale, lead us on a musical journey across the globe.  In addition to a WEST COAST PREMIER, this globe-trotting tour includes Vivaldis Gloria, Poulencs Gloria, and Rutters Gloria, promising a GLORIA-s season of diverse and exciting music. We invite you to pack your bags and join us as we travel together and explore some of the richest choral music from around the world!
 
 
 CHRISTMAS IN ITALY

 Our season begins with a journey to the home of opera, fashion, wine, pizza(!), and the Stradivarius violin, as we explore Italy and the home of Puccini, Palestrina, Verdi, and so many others.  Well walk the streets of Florence, Naples, Rome & Milan as we celebrate the holiday season with the joyous sounds of Vivaldis majestic Gloria.  This Baroque masterpiece will find a contemporary contrast with John Rutters thrilling Gloria, as the sounds of the season fill the air and your heart.   Join us, as we ring in the holidays with Italian carols, an audience sing-a-long, and some of our audiences most beloved holiday favorites. Youll find new hope, life, love, and cheer for the holidays as you hear the breathtaking sounds of the Angeles Chorale voice our continued hopes and wishes for peace on Earth.

 In March, we travel to the city of love and lightsParis!  Home to the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, and the Louvre, well be celebrating the sounds of this iconic city and its nightlife with some of Frances most celebrated composers. Duruflés magnificent motets will pave the way for our inspiring performance of the Poulenc Gloria, and Morten Lauridsens evocative song cycle Les Chansons des Roses (Songs of Roses), as the Angeles Chorale brings to life the beauty, subtlety, and romance that French music is famous for.  Along the way, we might even go back in time a few decades, paying a visit to a French cabaret...where Edith Piaf may be performing!
 
 TANGO & FIRE:
 PASSIONATE SOUNDS OF ARGENTINA
 Saturday, June 8th, 7:30 P.M.
 First Baptist Church of Glendale
 
 The sizzling sounds of Argentina come to life with our final concert of the season, Tango and Fire: Passionate Sounds of Argentina. Come with us, as we head South to the land known for its gauchos, mate, Patagonia, Malbec wine, and of course, the Paris of the South  Buenos Aires!  You wont want to miss the WEST COAST PREMIER of the beautiful and extraordinary Missa Tango, by Argentine composer Martin Palermi, as we join with an authentic tango band, delighting in the rhythms and sounds of the tango. Youll feel like youre walking the streets of Palermo, or maybe Recoleta, as the Angeles Chorale discovers and celebrates the classical, folk, and traditional sounds of Argentina in this incredible season-ending concert!
