This documentary focuses on the implications of the reintroduction of wolves into national parks in the mountain west and their spread into private territory. It describes the complex patterns of animal interrelation on the food chain and similarly expresses the gossamer that is the interaction among different groups who wish to see the wolf population expand or decrease following reintroduction. Though highly informationally informative, it never loses sight of the idealism of both those inspired by wolves in these parks and the way of life that ranchers who fear the reintroduction of wolves continue to strive for.
