La obra aborda la historia de una pareja que lleva su vida matrimonial con roles estrictamente definidos: el manda y ella obedece. Cualquier transgresión a la regla conlleva el abuso, bien sea, verbal, sicológico o físico.
El titulo de la obra remite a la pintura de Frida Kahlo con el mismo nombre, unos cuantos piquetitos de 1935, en la que se ve una mujer desnuda sobre una cama, con sus ojos entreabiertos y el cuerpo asaeteado por el cuchillo de un hombre que la mira.
The play is the story of a couple who leads their married life with strictly defined roles: he commands, and she obeys. Any transgression of the rule involves abuse, whether verbal, psychological, or physical.
The title of the play refers to the painting of Frida Kahlo with the same name, unos cuantos piquetitos of 1935, in which a naked woman is seen on a bed, with her eyes half-opened and her body pieced by the knife of a man who looks at her.
