Beecher Hill House Japanese Jugoya Feast
Jugoya A Japanese-Inspired Meal Celebrating the Autumn Harvest
Join us at Beecher Hill House for cocktail hour and a delicious 4 course Japanese menu glorifying the fall harvest and all that the valley has to offer. Guest Chef Jessica Kikue Myre will be preparing a menu featuring twists on traditional Japanese cuisine, centered around all of the incredible produce available in our beautiful region.
In Japan, O-tsukimi, also referred to as the Harvest Moon or Mid-Autumn Festival, is a celebrated moon viewing and honors all the bounty of the autumn harvest. O-Tsukimi is also called Jugoya, meaning The Night of the 15th in Japanese. It takes place on the solar calendar and changes every year but usually falls in September or October. The moon on Jugoya isn't always full, but it is said that on this night the moon is the most brilliant and beautiful of the year.
Join us on Saturday, September 15th at 6pm to celebrate this ancient traditional festival.
Tickets are $90 and include appetizers, a 3-course meal plus dessert, wine, and beer. Tickets must be booked at least 7 days in advance.
*When booking, please note any allergies or special dietary needs. The menu will not be pre-posted as it is dependent on produce availability. The menu will be fish-centric however vegetarian/vegan diets can be accommodated if requested in advance.
