[biography]
Evangelia Kolyra is a Greek, London-based choreographer and performer interested in dance that takes place within theatre spaces, site-specific, film and installation contexts. As a performer she has worked amongst others with Marina Abramovic, Willi Dorner, Simon Ellis, Deborah Hay, Rosemary Lee, Tino Sehgal and Matthias Sperling. Evangelia's work has been supported by and presented in England, Scotland, Greece, Italy, Sweden, Germany.

[class description]
The main aim of the class is to train the performing body. We focus on actively engaging the mind and the body while working creatively on the connection between movement, sound and language. The participants move constantly throughout the duration of the class. Improvised actions lead to short movement combinations which build into longer phrases. The class encourages stamina, creativity and offers elements that each participant can play with and incorporate into their performance practice.
Booking is essential as the class has limited spaces.
