The Deflowering of Eva Van End
The van End family tries to give the impression of perfection, but perfection comes with a price that is most often paid by the youngest child, Eva. With a father obsessed with work, a mother consumed by depression, a brother who thinks he knows it all, and another brother who sells drugs, Eva is often ignored by her family. Everything changes with the arrival of Veit, a German exchange student who drastically disrupts the hierarchy of the van End household. A satire of Dutch middle-class life, THE DEFLOWERING OF EVA VAN END is a hilarious portrayal of the complacency and ignorance of the petit-bourgeois.
