Founded in 2011, the Somali Museum of Minnesota opened the doors of its public gallery in 2013 as North America's first and only museum devoted to Somali culture. Join performers from America and abroad in a performance of deep nomadic culture -- a celebration of our Somalinimo and beautiful hiddo iyo dhaqan.
Performances will include Twin Cities local performers such as singers Rahma Rose and Warda Karama, dances by the Somali Museum Dance Troupe, and poetry in both English and Somali by Amjid and Abdisalan. Paracitemol and Safiya Tusmo will be headlining the theater play with performances by several other artists. More artists will be announced as they confirm!
