Join us for an evening with Jacqueline Woodson, in conversation with bestselling and award-winning author Sharon Draper! Woodson is returning to Joseph-Beth Booksellers with two new books: "Harbor Me" and "The Day You Begin". "Harbor Me" celebrates the healing that can occur when a group of students share their stories and is Woodson's first middle-grade novel since National Book Award winner "Brown Girl Dreaming". "The Day You Begin" is a poignant, yet heartening picture book about finding courage to connect, even when you feel scared and alone, featuring stunning artwork by award-winning illustrator Rafael Lopez.
*This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and is first-come, first-serve. Tickets for the booksigning line following the presentation accompany the purchase of either of Jacqueline Woodson's new books from Joseph-Beth Booksellers, either here via Brown Paper Tickets or over the phone at 513-396-8960. **Places for the signing line will be assigned based on when tickets are purchased. The earlier tickets are purchased, the earlier your group will be called up to the signing line. You can pick up your order - and learn your signing line group assignment - the day of the event starting at 5 pm. Those without a line ticket can go through the line after everyone else has gone through.
***Those who order and cannot attend the event may pick up their signed books the day following the event. You can also call the bookstore at 513-396-8960 to arrange to have them shipped to you. Orders not picked up by 3 months after the event date will be forfeited.
