Honoring the Risk Takers
We have been voting, phoning, demonstrating, petitioning, lobbying, writing, tweeting, and risking arrest for peace. Thats why were called Massachusetts Peace Action.
On Saturday, October 6, we will honor people who have taken an extra risk for peace those arrested during civil disobedience actions and celebrate what, together, we have achieved in the movement for peace and justice.
Join us for music by singer/songwriter Dean Stevens, food and drink, and fellowship.
An exuberant performer of distinctive style and wit, Dean Stevens combines an intricate, self-taught guitar style with a versatile and expressive singing voice. He has established himself as a formidable creator and interpreter of a wide spectrum of songs in English and Spanish. His own material explores a variety of personal and social topics, paints sketches of people and places, celebrates the Earth, and annoys the narrow minded.
