Moliere's Tartuffe
Mauckingbird Theatre Company and Drexel Univresity's Mandell Professionals in Residence Project (MPiRP) present Moliere's Tartuffe November 7-18 Mandell Theatre at Drexel University
In 1664, Le Tartuffe was banned because it presented a comedy where those who display the most piety prove the most corrupt. Philadelphia's professional LGBT Theater Company - Mauckingbird, in collaboration with the Mandell Professionals in Residence Project, turns its lens on Molieres all-too-relevant play about duplicity and those who fall for it. An irresistible second wife, a son determined to wed his boyfriend, an all-seeing maid, an imperious mother-in-law, and a sister who smells a rat all add to the merriment in Molieres timeless tale of unchecked hypocrisy.
Featuring: Kinu Aneja, Nicholas Anselmo, Gary Bowman, Andrew Carroll, Andrew Criss, Susan Giddings, Hannah Gold, Jake Lucas, Eli Lynn, Vida Manalang, Vanessa Sterling, Joey Teti
