Overture: The Musical
This is a story about saving something beautiful.
We are so pleased to offer a special, world premiere presentation of a new musical by Barn Players' alumnae--Overture the Musical by Krista Eyler & Barbara Nichols.
Overture takes place during the 1953 season of the Kansas City Philharmonic when the Philharmonic was fighting for financial survival and world renown. This charming, romantic and funny old-book musical boasts a lush score with full orchestra accompaniment.
Overture was one of the highest attended shows at this year's KC Fringe Fest, was featured in a KCUR news presentation, and has received an Arts Inspiration Grant from ArtsKC. Overture will have its World Premiere at the Arts Asylum, Sept. 21-30, 2018.
