Friday 10/12 for a jam at District Kitchen & Tap in Oak Park, 6:30 PM.
Saturday afternoon 10/13 for showcase performances at Val's halla record shop in Oak Park - 2-4 PM.

Let's gather to celebrate the fall season with a folk music concert! Here are the details:

Saturday October 13  6 pm A Tribute to Pete Seeger with Mark Dvorak & The Power of Song Singers plus special guests the Dropped Notes String Band. The BuzzCafe, 905 S. Lombard, Oak Park.

General admission seating is limited. Tickets for the concert are $20 each. Pre-orders for dinners are closed. Some extra food will be prepared and the prix fixe 3-course dinners can be purchased the night of while supplies last. The regular menu at Buzz Cafe will not be available.

MUSIC & POTLUCKS is dedicated to nourishing our community by presenting cultural programs in support of agencies serving our neighbors who navigate through
challenging times.

We will be passing the tambourine to collect donations for the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry, Housing Forward and the Songs for Peace and Justice Fund at the OPRF Community Foundation.

Other FolkToberFest events are FREE and open for walk-in music lovers. Here are the details:

Friday Night October 12th, 6:30 PM it's a Jam and Sing Along at District Kitchen and Tap, 220 Harrison Street in Oak Park. Grab your acoustic instruments and join in the fun, the music is FREE! Order some nibbles off the menu and a pint. Prost!

Saturday October 13th 2-4 PM Showcase Musicians are scheduled to perform - you won't want to miss this! We'll be at the iconic record store Val's halla. 239 Harrison Street in Oak Park.  Bring a potluck dessert to share!

Val booked this event with us last March and she was really looking forward to some great music and gathering in the record store.  Shayne manages the record shop and is as welcoming as can be! Financial donations will be accepted for the OPRF Food Pantry, Housing Forward and the OPRF Community Foundation.
