Every day, an average of 115 Americans die from opioid overdose. And over the past decade, the number of opioid-related deaths has risen steadily and significantly. As we strive to overcome this crisis, we are tasked with answering two very important questions: How did we get here? And what can we do to change the situation, both now and in the future?
