Event
Mission Hills Heritage Annual Historic Home Tour
Private homes open for tour guests
This year's theme is the Gems of South Mission Hills. Guests will view a variety of houses: Tudor, Spanish, Prairie, and Craftsman. From small and quaint to large and opulent, original to remodeled.
Docents will describe distinguishing characteristics of architecture and interior details of the homes, as well as the social history of some of the interesting people who lived in the homes.
Complimentary refreshments featuring our almost famous homemade cookies will be served throughout the day at one of the homes.
Registration in advance is $5 less than on the day of the tour and won't require waiting in the purchase line. On Saturday, September 22, guests will pick up their informative souvenir booklet and ticket wristband at 1437 Torrance Street, between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm. It includes a map and professional photographs with descriptions of the homes. Houses will be open for viewing between 10 am and 4 pm.
