DESCRIPTION
THE GOOD MANNERS OF COLONIZED SUBJECTS is a spoken dance performance by Shebana Coelho featuring original poetry and  choreography from from flamenco and Sanskrit classical theatre.

Through dance and memoirs of colonization and liberation, walls and borders dissolve as the human animal steps forward into her light...as each step forward brings a movement back to the beginning, to a cathartic re-imagining of that moment indigenous to the species: the first incandescent experience of art.

DURATION
The work-in-progress performances/staged readings run approx 1 hour 10 min, and will be followed by a playful poetic Q&A.
