Bon Appetit!
A benefit for Concord Women's Chorus. Enjoy a food-inspired evening with Boston-based performer Vanessa Schukis and Pianist Scott Nicholas, as they present Lee Hoibys comic one-act opera, Bon Appetit!, based on the culinary icon Julia Child.
Schukis is a talented actress, a character mezzo who will keep you laughing with her fast-paced rendering of Julia Child in the kitchen. With more than 30 years of experience as a music educator in the Boston area, including New England Conservatory and Longy School of Music, Schukis is a wonderful choice to participate in this special fundraiser for Concord Womens Chorus.
Nicholas, based in Boston, is an accomplished pianist with a repertoire spanning classical and musical theater. He is on the faculty of Emerson, teaches piano and coaches opera and music theater.
