Adult Summer Camp, A Cancer Fundraiser For Ricky Gene Powell.
Adult Summer Camp, A Fundraiser for Cancer

This August 18th and 19th prepare yourself for the wildest two days of your life. Hiking, Climbing, Singing, Dancing, Archery, Races, Games, Prizes, Confetti Cannons, Hooping, Poi, Karate, Roasting things on sticks, Giant Bubbles, Science Demonstrations, Snarky High School Counselors, Rocket Building, Cabins, Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag, Bluegrass Workshops, A Giant Slip N Slide... and thats just DAY ONE!

Here is how it works. Arrive at beautiful Camp Long in West Seattle and listen to the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack on the way. Get sorted into your Camp Troop. Settle into your cabin, or if you are not there overnight, check in at the lodge and meet your counselor... then get ready for the best summer of your life.

We will have over 50 activities, classes, competitions, games and events for you to enjoy. There will be an overall competition for each of the 4 Troops, with big prizes. When night falls, daytime ticket holders will head out at their leisure and cabin pass holders will stay. We will sing around the fire, have glow in the dark capture the flag, and a super secret make out party at an undisclosed location.

Day two will start at the sound of the bugle, assuming we can find someone who can play the bugle, with more fun and a pancake breakfast. At the end of the day we will end with a community dance, and yearbook exchange. Everyone can say teary goodbyes to their Summer Camp friends until next year.

We will provide the supplies for all the games and activities, snarky high school aged "counselors", the venues, bands and the pancake breakfast. All other food, drinks and other items you will bring!

Note on contraband...This is a city park so its the same rules as everywhere. Bring what you want and be mindful, at least until dark :) We encourage all the fun you can muster.. we are all adults, acting like kids for a few days, but make sure to enjoy your adult fun, whatever it may be in a discreet place.
