5th St. Louis Indian Dance Festival on April 19,20,21
Soorya Performing Arts, a St. Louis based 'not-for-profit' organization, successfully conducted St. Louis Indian Dance Festival in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012. It is presenting its 5th dance festival on April 19,20, 21 by bringing together artists representing Bharathanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Mohini Attam, Odissi Manipuri, Sastriya and Yakshagana.
It is bringing great teams such as Orissa Dance Academy with 11 dancers directly from India, Kathak enchantress Sharmila Sharma from Paris, a beautiful Yakshagana-Bharathanatyam rendition by Mangala & Prof. Kedlaya, two new dance styles Sastriya & Manipuri introduced for the first time in Saint Louis.
There are totally 22 shows in the span of three days mornings and evening. It will be held in Clayton High School auditorium.
