Into the Woods Jr.
The St. Peters Performing Arts Studio is presenting the production of Into the Woods Jr. through their intensive theatre workshop.
Stephen Sondheims and James Lapines cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.
The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.

The students in this intensive 2-work workshop have worked diligently over the past 10 days to showcase this fabulous production. Our cast ranges in ages from 10-17 and have captured the heart of this whimsical musical in just a short period of time.
The St. Peters Performing Arts Studio provides the platform for children to explore all elements of musical theatre, enhancing their creativity as well as their communication skills and self-confidence.
This production is managed by Mr. Ron Jones, Musical Director and co-owner of St. Peters Performing Arts Studio, along with Ms. Sheri Hogan, Stage Director.
