ABOUT: "There Are No Tangents: Where You Been? This work's concept was inspired by a time in Abdul's life, lasting nearly twenty years, which was a never-ending cycle of losing loved ones. To connect and illustrate the relationship between the inner conflict and the compartmentalization of the world surrounding him during this heart-breaking time Abdul has created this extremely personal work. "I was making sense of how to live during a time of compounded pain that continually accompanied my life experiences" states Abdul. "There are No Tangents" will be the first part of a series chronicling a man's journey as he makes sense of his life's path through a series of interconnected experiences of loss and reflection.
The second and third parts of this series will be Re[membrane]ing premiering in May 2013 and VIRAL, also premiering in 2013."
