Parlor of Mystery & South Shore Theatre present Comedy Magic Show
COMEDY and MAGIC at the PARLOR OF MYSTERY JULY 22
AWARD-WINNING COMEDY AND MAGIC WILL BE ON DISPLAY AT THE JULY 22 AT 7PM ~ PARLOR OF MYSTERY FEATURING ROCCO, MEIR YEDID, STEVE FRIEDBERG AND JAMES LAZZARINI.
Award-winning prestidigitators will entertain a small group of lucky patrons on July 22 at the Parlor of Mystery. The show features comedy and magic by four celebrated performers who have competed in some of the most prestigious contests. In addition to mind-boggling productions by Rocco, the show will feature comedy magic and mentalism by Meir Yedid, stunning card magic by Steve Friedberg and close-up magic by James Lazzarini. The mystifying starts at 7 PM at the South Shore Theatre Experience home of The Parlor of Mystery.
Rocco
Rocco is a master magician who has performed around the world. He is regarded as 'the expert' on the magic technique that he has honed to perfection. He is the only American to win awards at two FISM World Tournaments: in 1994 in Yokohama, Japan, and "Most Original Act" in 2006 in Stockholm, Sweden. Rocco has several TV credits and has appeared in the VH1 celebrity magic reality series, Celebracadabra, in 2008, as an adviser and guide for celebrity partner and 1st runner-up, Hal Sparks.
Meir Yedid
Meir Yedid won the coveted Society of American Magicians 1981 Close-Up Magic Championship with his finger routine and again claimed the S.A.M. Close-Up Magic Championship, in 1988, making Meir the first person to win the award more than once. Yedid also received a special originality medal for his creative contributions to the art of magic. Yedid's books and videos are regarded as some of the best reference and teaching tools available to the magic community.
Steve Friedberg
Steve Friedberg is an expert at the card table who has twice headlined at Hollywood's world-famous Magic Castle and has performed at London's Magic Circle. He's also a regular attendee at the invitation-only 4F convention, a yearly gathering held outside of Buffalo for 200 of the world's best close-up magicians.
Magic by Amore
James Lazzarini (Amore) has over 20 years of professional experience. He has performed in China, Bermuda, Canada, Puerto Rico, and across the United States and worked for some of America's largest companies including Deloitte & Touche, UPS, Burger King, Phillip Morris, WABC-TV, and Nabisco to name just a few. James will be thrilling people in the lobby doing interactive close-up magic and mentalism.
The Parlor of Mystery's is one of many programs presented at the South Shore Theatre Experience in Lindenhurst. It's the perfect place to experience parlor and close-up magic. It is small black box theater with comfortable tiered seating for 40. The Parlor of Mystery is one of many productions that take place at the South Shore Theatre Experience, which is located at 115 South Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst. The South Shore Theatre Experience is a non-profit organization that produces original works and theater classics as well as conducting acting classes & workshops.
Parlor of Mystery shows usually take place on the fourth Sunday of every month with different magicians performing different effects.
